NSW Hobby’s Yards-based Allandale Park Thoroughbreds announced it will stand European Gr3-winning & Gr1-placed sprinter-miler Barbajuan (Danehill Dancer-Courtier, by Saddler’s Hall) for the 2011 breeding season. Barbajuan stood at Eagle Park Stud in Orange during 2009 & 2010. A winner of 10 races (including Group & stakes performances in England, Ireland, Italy & Macau) Barbajuan will stand alongside Annenkov, Assafa & Diogenes. Barbajuan’s 2011 fee is $2,750.

Bathurst-based Allandale Park Thoroughbreds 2010 freshman sire Annenkov (Danehill-Agathe, by Manila) has had his 1st mare test positive at 45-days. Twice Gr3-placed in France, Irish-bred Annenkov was imported to Australia by Simon O'Donnell & Terry Henderson's OTI Racing. Inglis Great Southern Weanling 2: $110,000 Lonhro Colt
Lot 69 (Lonhro-Iris In The Glen, by Perugino) topped Day-1 of the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale when knocked down to Queensland's Boomer Bloodstock for $110,000. Consigned by Glenwood, the colt is out of a 5-time winning half-sister to triple Group-winner Zazzman who finished 3rd in the Gr1 Melbourne Cup. The grandam is a half-sister to South African Gr1 winner and NSW Allandale Park Thoroughbreds stallion Timber Trader.

Foxhound Adds US Gr2
Allandale Park Thoroughbreds stallion Foxhound (Danzig-Lassie Dear, by Buckpasser) added a US group success when daughter Foxysox (Foxhound-Triple Tricks, by Royal Academy) overcame concerns she wouldn't stay in winning the Gr2 Santa Barbara Handicap (10 furlongs) at Santa Anita on turf. According to bloodhorse.com, "Foxysox grabbed the lead from pacesetting Forest Melody mid-stretch, gradually extending her narrow advantage to nearly a length, then held on for dear life in the final strides to nose the unlucky Black Mamba at the wire". English-bred Foxysox now has 6 wins from 20 starts and earnings of US$596,718. Kiwi-bred runner-up Black Mamba (Black Minnaloushe-Sneetch, by Grosvenor) now has 5 consecutive US Gr2 runner-ups.

Foxhound Relocates To NSW
Impeccably bred stallion Foxhound (Danzig--Lassie Dear, by Buckpasser) has relocated from SA's Lakewood Stud to NSW's Allandale Park Thoroughbreds for the 2005 breeding season. Foxhound's owner Michael Carroll said he was delighted Foxhound would be joining the much respected Todd family's Bathurst-based Allandale property. Foxhound, a stakes-winning member of one of the US turf's most illustrious families, has established an imposing international record, siring 17 individual stakes-winners & responsible for an 81% winners-to-runners ratio from his starters in France, US, Canada, Italy, South Africa, Hong Kong, Macau, Chile & Japan. Foxhound stands for $8,800.
