1st Foals To Danroad

The initial foals by NZ's Highview Stud-based group-winning stallion Danroad (Danehill-Strawberry Girl, by Strawberry Road) have been born, reported NZ Thoroughbred Marketing. Managing director Brent Gillovic confirmed 2 have been born at Highview: 1 is a colt from Trisynd (by Sir Tristram) who is a half-sister to multiple Australian group winner & A$1.3 million-earner Le Zagaletta; & the other is a filly from Quasi Stellar (by Catrail). Meanwhile at Westbury Stud (Danroad's home for his 1st season at stud last year) managing director Russell Warwick confirmed the arrival of a Danroad colt out of Switch Belle (by Rory's Jester). And Curraghmore Stud's Gordon Cunningham has welcomed a Danroad filly out of Huntley Belle (by Hula Town). According to the NZ Stud Book, Danroad covered 57 mares last year.
