Oratory Retired To Country Life Farm

Tuesday, 6th September 2005

Darley Stable's Gr2 Peter Pan Stakes-winning 3YO colt Oratory (Pulpit-Arrested Dreams, by Dehere) "has arrived at Country Life Farm in Maryland to join its stallion roster for the 2006 breeding season," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Oratory (who suffered a "condyla fracture to his right fore cannon bone" leading up to the Gr2 Dwyer Stakes on July 4) retires with 3 wins & 2 runner-ups in 5 starts & US$189,000 earnings. Country Life (the oldest stallion farm in Maryland) manager Michael Pons commented: "Since relocating Malibu Moon to Kentucky 2 years ago, we've looked for an exciting A.P.Indy-line sire. Oratory's sire Pulpit is by A.P.Indy, as is Malibu Moon. Pulpit's sons Sky Mesa & Tapit have been well-received in Kentucky, & Oratory will appeal to the best breeders in the Mid-Atlantic region."
