Doncaster Day-2: $130,000 In The Wings Colt

Thursday, 8th September 2005

Trainer Howard Johnson paid 50,000 guineas (A$130,000) for an In The Wings half-brother to Sun Chariot Stakes winner Independence, reported racingpost.co.uk. The colt "will race in joint-ownership with Graham Wylie next year" & Wylie commented: "He's for our Transcend Bloodstock partnership, in which all the horses are for sale. We'll be keeping the 2YOs we've got for next year because a lot are going to make better 3YOs, unless we get an offer we can't refuse. I'm enjoying it all & it's only Howard's 2nd season on the Flat & we've had a great year."
