NZTR Appoints Assistant Handicapper

In New Zealand, NZ Thoroughbred Racing announced the appointment of Brett Scelly, 28, to the position of assistant handicapper. After obtaining degrees in Applied Sciences (Agriculture) & (Equine Science) from Australia's Charles Sturt University in NSW, Scelly worked as a cadet steward for 2 seasons with Racing NSW (a role which included race-day procedures & inquiries, as well as monitoring trials & preparing form & performance reports).
