Racing Vic Promotes Steward Cram
Racing Victoria senior stipendiary steward Robert Cram has been appointed to the new position of deputy chairman of stewards (non-raceday integrity & compliance) beginning on October 1. The role "will configure & implement the strategic & operational framework for the integrity of non-raceday activities". The appointment follows the redevelopment of the Integrity Services Department into 4 units "to ensure the delivery of integrity for the future of the Victorian thoroughbred racing industry". Cram will lead the Non-Raceday Integrity & Compliance unit (which will focus on drug control strategies, betting compliance & operations, facilitating stable inspection initiatives, general compliance & complaints). He will report directly to the Chairman of Stewards & Director of Integrity Services Des Gleeson, along with fellow Deputy Chairmen Terry Sharp (Raceday Integrity & Operations) & Terry Bailey (Training & Development, Licensing & Registrations). The 4th unit (Investigations) is headed by Chief Investigator Peter McMillan.
