Tejano Run Moved To Canada

US Gr2 winner & 1995 Gr1 Kentucky Derby runner-up Tejano Run (Tejano-Royal Run, by Wavering Monarch) has moved from Starlex Farm in Kentucky to Ascot Stud in Ontario in Canada, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Now 13-year-old Tejano Run has already produced Canadian stakes-winners One For Rose (champion older mare in 2003 & 2004), Anglian Prince (winner of the 2002 Gr3 Marine Stakes & 2nd in that year's C$1 million Queen's Plate Stakes) & most recently One For Rose (who won last weekend's Algoma Stakes at Woodbine). Tejano Run began his stud career in 1998 at Kentucky's Hill 'n' Dale Farm & moved to Starlex in 2003; overall he has sired 7 stakes-winners among 61 winners from 102 starters who have earned US$5.73 million. On the track, Kentucky-bred Tejano Run (a US$20,000 yearling at the 1993 Keeneland September sale) recorded 8 wins in 21 starts for US$1,166,842 earnings.
