Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) & former Glenlogan Park shuttler Shinko Forest (Green Desert-Park Express, by Ahonoora) shared an English juvenile group success when 2YO colt Silent Times (Danehill Dancer-Recoleta, by Wild Again) "led from the outset" before being grabbed right on the finish-line for a dead-heat by fellow 2YO colt Close To You (Shinko Forest-Maritana, by Rahy) in the Gr2 Champagne Stakes (7 furlongs) for 2YO males at Doncaster, reported thoroughbredinternet.com. Killybegs (by Orpen) finished 3rd. Silent Times was a 26,000 guineas (A$67,000) Doncaster St Leger yearling & now has 2 wins (plus 3rd in Ireland's Gr2 Futurity Stakes on August 20) in 5 starts; while Close To You was a 40,000 guineas (A$104,000) UK Tattersalls October yearling & now has 5 wins in 7 starts. Close To You is the 1st European Group winner for Shinko Forest, "a Japanese Gr1-winning son of Green Desert who retired to Rathbarry Stud in Ireland & shuttled to Australia; in 2005 Shinko Forest transferred to Hedgeholme Stud in England where his fee was advertised at £2,500 (A$6,000)". Meanwhile Silent Times is the 7th stakes-winner for Danehill Dancer this year, "3 of those European juveniles in the shape of Salut d'Amour, Strut & now Silent Times".
