Doncaster Day-3: $195,000 Johannesburg Colt
Oliver St Lawrence (buying for owner Peter Webb) out-bid Jamie Osborne & paid 75,000 guineas (A$195,000) for "the 1st yearling to be sold in Europe this year by US Gr1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile hero Johannesburg" (out of Nunatak) reported racingpost.co.uk. The colt is a "Templeton Stud-bred half-brother to American stakes-winner Nunatall". Trainer Nick Littmoden (who signed the buyer's chit) commented: "He was a very taking individual & my pick tonight."
