5 HK Wins To NZ Bloodstock

Meanwhile New Zealand Bloodstock sale graduates collected 5 HK victories at Sha Tin:

  • The 6YO Champ Dragon (Maroof-Zonal, by Imperial Prince) won over 1400m ridden by Australian jockey Corey Brown; he was a NZ$280,000 yearling at the NZ Bloodstock 2001 Premier Sale at Karaka & now has 5 wins & earnings over HK$2.5 million (A$420,000).
  • Former leading NZ 2YO gelding Successor (Bahhare-Betty Doolin, by The Jogger) won over 1200m; last season he won the NZ$500,000 NZ Bloodstock 2YO Classique (1200m). Successor (now a 4YO) was a NZ$21,000 yearling at the NZ Bloodstock 2003 Select Colts Sale at Karaka.
  • The 3YO gelding Champion King (Monolith-Garnett Court, by Pompeii Court) won over 1400m; he was a NZ$11,000 purchase at the NZ Bloodstock 2004 Festival Sale.
  • The 4YO Regency Horse (Stravinsky-Rivertaine, by Centaine) also won over 1400m to record his 2nd success from 5 HK starts; he previously raced in NZ as Coup Stravinsky (winning 2 races) & was a NZ$60,000 yearling at the NZ Bloodstock 2003 Premier Sale.
  • And 5YO Noble Heart (Deputy Governor-Domino, by Grosvenor) registered his 3rd HK win with victory over 1600m; he is a full brother to dual NZ Gr1 winner Hero & was a NZ$200,000 purchase at the 2002 NZ Bloodstock Premier Yearling Sales.
