Wafare Farm Owner Haller Dies

Also in Nebraska, prominent thoroughbred owner & breeder Joseph Haller "died unexpectedly aged 76 at his home in Omaha," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Haller co-owned Kentucky's Wafare Farm through the 1990s & Dynaformer (the Kentucky-based stallion whose progeny have earned US$57,236,496) "began his stallion career at Wafare Farm". Haller bought his 1st thoroughbred Groundpounder in the 1970s; subsequent stakes-winners owned by Haller included Dancing Missile, Millee Van, Sugar's Best & Fighting Fast (also bred by Wafare Farm & winner of the 1993 Gr1 Juvenile Breeders' Cup Stakes).
