Bull Market To Stand At Buck Pond
US 5YO stallion Bull Market (who completed a successful 2YO season with a 4th behind Vindication in the 2002 Gr1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile) "will stand the 2006 season at Buck Pond Farm," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Bull Market (Holy Bull-Capote Miss, by Capote) won 4 of 13 starts (plus runner-up in the Gr2 Norfolk Stakes at Santa Anita) & earned US$232,856. Buck Pond Farm owner Doug Arnold summed up: "He gives us that big-time precocious speed that is so appealing to breeders. He ran 5 furlongs in 57.2sec (to win at Del Mar in his career debut) & dueled with Vindication for 8.5 furlongs in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. He was very gutsy. He's a magnificent looking horse & he's by Holy Bull." The addition of Bull Market (a full brother to stakes-winner Tru Bull) will give Buck Pond 10 stallions for the 2006 breeding year; his unraced dam Capote Miss has produced 3 starters (all winners).
