Dubai Joins Asian Mile Challenge

In Dubai, the US$5 million Gr1 Dubai Duty Free (run on Saturday 25 March as part of Dubai World Cup day at Nad Al Sheba Racecourse) is to be included as the 2nd leg in the 4-race 2006 Asian Mile Challenge. Dubai Racing Club chairman Saeed Al-Tayer said: "The Challenge brings together 4 of Asia's leading racing nations & is the perfect vehicle to showcase the quality of racing in this part of the world." Australia's Gr1 Futurity Stakes (run on March 7 at Caulfield in Melbourne) will be the opening leg of the 2006 Asian Mile Challenge, followed by the Gr1 Dubai Duty Free on March 25, the Gr1 Champions Mile in Hong Kong on May 7 & Japan's Gr1 Yasuda Kinen on June 4.
