Keeneland Day-3: US$1m Mr Greeley Colt

Late on Day-3, Demi O'Byrne out-bid B. Wayne Hughes & paid US$1 million for a Mr Greeley colt (the 2nd foal out of Dixieland Band mare Dreams Of Success. O'Byrne told thoroughbredtimes.com: "I was a bit surprised we had to go so deep for him. I didn't think we'd find one like this on Day-3, but we're anxious to see what he can do on the racetrack." The Kentucky-bred colt (consigned by Craig & Holly Bandoroff's Denali Stud as agent) is out of a half-sister to Gr1 winner Burning Roma. O'Byrne bid "while sitting next to Patrick Biancone, who trained the Mr Greeley colt Whywhywhy to a win the 2002 Gr1 Belmont Futurity Stakes".
