Black Minnaloushe Adds US Gr3

Monday, 19th September 2005

NZ Windsor Park Stud's dual Gr1-winning shuttler Black Minnaloushe (Storm Cat-Coral Dance, by Green Dancer) added a US juvenile group success when 2YO colt Stream Cat (Black Minnaloushe-Water Course, by Irish River) "scored his 2nd consecutive stakes triumph with a stirring last-to-first rally" in the Gr3 Kentucky Cup Juvenile Stakes (8.5 furlongs) at Turfway Park," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Stream Cat (ridden by Gary Stevens for trainer Patrick Biancone) came from more than 12-lengths behind the leaders to finish like "a powerful locomotive" & defeat Rungius & Cab. Kentucky-bred Stream Cat won the With Anticipation Stakes at Saratoga at his previous start; he is the 9th winner from his unraced dam Water Course.
