Starcraft Needs To Lift

Thursday, 22nd September 2005

Starcraft's trainer in England, Luca Camani has told racingpost.co.uk that the New Zealand-bred entire will need to lift even further on his Gr1 Prix Du Moulin victory (brilliant as it was) to prove competitive against Dubawi and Rakti in the Gr1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday. Despite his facile win in France, Cumani said: "He beat a good field in the Moulin but not as good as the one on Saturday. So, he still has to improve a little bit..." Cumani compared Starcraft to Arrowfield Stud shuttler Falbrav, saying, "Falbrav, perhaps, had a more composed temperament and he was an easier horse to deal with, from a psychological point of view. Starcraft is not as composed as Falbrav but he is equally as strong and powerful. I think I've seen him do equally good pieces of work and he has a tremendous turn of foot just like Falbrav."
