Tatts Ireland Day-1: $256,000 Hernando Filly

Monday, 26th September 2005

In Ireland, Loughtown Stud owner Philippe Hinojosa out-bid Highflyer Bloodstock's David Minton & paid top price of €160,000 (A$256,000) for a Hernando filly (out of 2001 Gr1 Yorkshire Oaks winner Super Tassa) on Day-1 of the 3-session (1 select & 2 open) Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale at Fairyhouse, reported racingpost.co.uk. The filly had been previously bought by Elms Stud for 55,000 guineas (A$143,000) at last December's sale. Hinojosa revealed: "She goes to (the Chantilly stables of) Carlos Laffon-Parias in France & then I will see if I have a good horse or not."
