Erhaab Moves To Wood Farm
Shadwell also announced 14-year-old 1994 Gr1 Epsom Derby winner Erhaab (Chief's Crown-Histoire, by Riverman) "will move to Bill Bromley's Wood Farm Stud in Shropshire for the 2006 season," reported thoroughbredinternet.com. Erhaab has stood at Beech House Stud in Newmarket since 2001, having originally retired to stud in Japan; to date "he is the sire of the winners of over 690 races world-wide & over £15 million (A$36m) prize-money". Shadwell Stud director Richard Lancaster commented: "We have been very fortunate that we have managed to complete a deal with Bill & Di Bromley. This will ensure a great future for Erhaab." Bill Bromley added: "Erhaab has been getting some very good looking stock & I am extremely enthusiastic about the stallion's prospects."
