Overbrook Cuts Most 2006 Fees

Meanwhile Kentucky-based Overbrook Farm (home of the world's highest-priced stallion Storm Cat) "has reduced most of its stallions fees for 2006," reported racingpost.co.uk. Overbrook had previously confirmed Storm Cat (Storm Bird-Terlingua, by Secretariat) will remain at US$500,000 for the 2006 breeding season: his 26 yearlings sold at the Keeneland September yearling sale averaged a record US$1,766,730. Among Overbrook's other stallions:

  • Young sire Jump Start (A.P.Indy-Steady Cat, by Storm Cat) whose 1st foals are yearlings, will also remain level with his 2005 fee of US$10,000
  • Cat Thief (Storm Cat-Train Robbery, by Alydar) drops from US$25,000 to US$10,000
  • Cape Town (Seeking The Gold-Seaside Attraction, by Seattle Slew) drops from US$20,000 to US$15,000
  • Cape Canaveral (Mr Prospector-Seaside Attraction, by Seattle Slew) drops from US$15,000 to US$10,000
  • Tactical Cat (Storm Cat-Terre Haute, by Caro) drops from US$10,000 to US$5,000
  • Grindstone (Unbridled-Buzz My Bell, by Drone) drops from US$10,000 to US$5,000
  • Storm Cat's half-brother Pioneering (Mr Prospector-Terlingua, by Secretariat) drops from US$5,000 to US$3,500
