Monday, 3rd April 2006

In South America, owner-breeder Carlos Blaquier's Haras La Biznaga home-bred juvenile filly Stormy Nimble (Bernstein-South Nina, by Southern Halo) won Argentina's Gr1 Gran Premio Eliseo Ramirez (1st Gr1 race of the season for 2YO fillies on the turf) over 1400m at Hipodromo San Isidro, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Stormy Nimble (ridden by Gustavo Calvente for trainer Roberto Bullrich) defeated 17-lengths January debut winner & favourite Data (Roy-Dama Imperial, by Mariache 2nd) & Miss Twins (Numerous-Twins Parade, by Parade Marshal). Stormy Nimble now has 2 successive victories from 4 starts; she is a full sister to last year's Argentine Gr1 Gran Premio Eliseo Ramirez winner Stormy Nina.
