Inglis Melb Day-1: $72,500 Good Journey Filly
David Lamond paid $72,500 for a Good Journey filly (from Gr2-placed Marscay mare Lady Cay) sold on behalf of the Written Bloodstock Syndicate. Lamond (who previously purchased the filly's dam Lady Cay for $260,000 at the 2000 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale) commented: "The mare was absolutely cracking & particularly unlucky not to win a Group race. I think this filly's sire Good Journey was a good racehorse & he has good potential as a sire, being from a well performed family." Lamond indicated the purchase was for a group of owners, although her trainer is undecided.
