New Technology For TVN Slipper Broadcast

Thursday, 6th April 2006

ThoroughVisioN announced its live broadcast of Saturday's Golden Slipper Day from Rosehill Gardens in Sydney "will feature world-first race broadcast technology developed by TVN & never before seen in Australia". The innovations will include "the embedding of virtual race progress lines across the racetrack during the live running of each race, showing the distance remaining to the winning post at the 200m, 100m & 50m marks". As the horses pass the post "the finishing order & names of the 1st 3 runners will also appear on the track, enhanced by the race colours of the jockey's silks". The technology also allows "other information, such as race sponsor logos, trainer, jockey & race margin details to be virtually embedded in the track".
