Hussonet Half-Brother To Stand In Peru

Friday, 7th April 2006

In South America, 4YO Jaguar On the Run (a half-brother to multiple Chilean leading sire & Arrowfield Stud stallion Hussonet) "has been purchased by Peruvian stud farm Haras Barlovento from Coolmore Stud, with plans to stand the son of Storm Cat during the Southern Hemisphere breeding season later this year," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Boris Schwartzman's Haras Barlovento "closed a deal to purchase the majority rights of Jaguar On the Run, with Coolmore retaining a minority interest," in a deal brokered by expatriate Australian Byron Rogers (director of stallion operations at Kentucky's Taylor Made Farm). Jaguar On the Run (out of champion Sacahuista, by Raja Baba) will represent the 1st son of Storm Cat to stand in Peru; he is also a half-brother to Gr1 winner Ekraar, a shuttler at Stoney Bridge in New Zealand.
