Bob And John Wins US Gr1 Wood Memorial

Stonerside Stable's home-bred colt Bob And John (Seeking The Gold-Minister's Melody, by Deputy Minister) scored a dogged 1.5-lengths victory in the US$750,000 Gr1 Wood Memorial Stakes (9 furlongs) for 3YOs on a sloppy track at Aqueduct in New York, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Bob And John (ridden by Garrett Gomez for trainer Bob Baffert) defeated Jazil (Seeking The Gold-Better Than Honour, by Deputy Minister) & front-running Keyed Entry (Honour And Glory-Ava Knowsthecode, by Cryptoclearance). This season Bob And John won the Gr3 Sham Stakes in February & then placed in the Gr2 San Felipe Stakes on March 18.
