Waikato Stud-based stallion O'Reilly (Last Tycoon-Courtza, by Pompeii Court) added a juvenile black-type success when daughter Mary Lavelle (O'Reilly-Trisha's Belle, by Sir Tristram) made it 2 wins from her only 2 starts with a 0.75-lengths victory in the NZ$30,000 Selwyn River Stud South Island 2YO Stakes (1200m) at Riccarton Park. Mary Lavelle (ridden by Jamie Bullard for trainer Neill Ridley) defeated fellow fillies Udiditagain (D'Cash-Tio Iris, by Paris House) & Xbert (Bertolini-Al Katcha, by Al Hareb). Mary Lavelle (a NZ$95,000 yearling at the 2005 NZ Bloodstock Select Sale) also won on debut over 1200m on March 17.
