Spun Sugar (ridden by Mike Luzzi for trainer Todd Pletcher) defeated top-weighted Gr1-winner Happy Ticket (Anet-Love And Happiness, by Septieme Ciel) & Gr2-winner La Reason (Labeeb-Reasoning, by Naskra). Last year Kentucky-bred Spun Sugar won the Gr2 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes & recorded 3 Gr1 placings; overall she now has 5 wins & 4 placings from 9 starts for US$764,171 earnings.
