1st NZ Wins To Summer Suspicion

Tuesday, 11th April 2006

Japanese-bred stallion Summer Suspicion (Sunday Silence-Dyna Fairy, by Northern Taste) has an emerging Kiwi juvenile star in 2YO gelding Hitman (Summer Suspicion-Hit The Target, by Eagle Eyed). Hitman became his sire's 1st winner in Australasia when victorious at Avondale on March 22 & followed-up with another success over 1200m at Te Aroha on Saturday. Trainer Richard Yuill told NZ Thoroughbred Marketing that Hitman (a NZ$27,000 yearling at last year's NZ Bloodstock South Island 2YO Sale) "is a professional racehorse: he jumps & runs & does everything 100% right. He's got a bright future & goes out now to the spelling paddock. Next season he will be set for the guineas races." Summer Suspicion (who has stood at NZ Slade Farm in Canterbury) is the sire of 212 individual winners in Japan.
