Cesario Half-Sister At Inglis Easter
In Sydney, Arrowfield Stud will offer a half-sister to star Japanese filly Cesario (who became the 1st Japanese-based horse to win a US Gr1 race when she scored by 4-lengths in the 2005 American Oaks Invitational Stakes last July at Hollywood Park) during the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale (April 18-20) at Newmarket. Cesario (Special Week-Kirov Premiere, by Sadler's Wells) was retired last week due to a ligament injury in her right front leg. Cesario also won the Gr1 Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks) at Tokyo racecourse & finished 2nd by a head in the Gr1 Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guineas) at Hanshin racecourse prior to her dominant win at Hollywood; she was honored as Japan's 3YO filly of 2005 & overall won 5 of 6 career starts & earned US$2,578,568. The Inglis Sale filly is by Coolmore shuttler Fusaichi Pegasus from Sadler's Wells mare Kirov Premiere (a Gr3 winner of 5 races).
