Wednesday, 12th April 2006

Arrowfield Stud stallion sensation Redoute's Choice (Danehill-Shantha's Choice, by Canny Lad) has now sired winners in 6 countries: Australia, NZ, Singapore, HK, South Africa & Japan. He followed the weekend wins by 2YO filly Miss Finland (Redoute's Choice-Forest Pearl, by Woodman) in Australia's Gr1 Golden Slipper (1200m) & 4YO Bishop's Rock (Redoute's Choice-Radium Springs, by Sir Tristram) in South Africa's Gr2 Colorado King Stakes (2000m) with a 3-lengths victory by another son Cosmo Jive (Redoute's Choice-Spinjive, by Cure The Blues) in Japan's Yen Wins Tsugaru Refresh Open Anniversary (1200m). Cosmo Jive was a NZ$200,000 buy at the 2003 NZB Ready-To-Run Sale. To date, all the Redoute's Choice international winners have been progeny sired in Australia; but as of next year, a new chapter begins in his career as a result of currently covering a select number of mares to Northern Hemisphere time.
