Capricorn Yearlings: Average Up 16%

Thursday, 13th April 2006

In Australia, the annual Capricorn Yearling Sale at Rockhampton in Queensland saw 75 lots sold for $679,000 (up 45% on last year) at a $9,053 average (up 16%) & an 80% clearance rate. Sale organiser Ken McCaffrey from McCaffrey's Australian Livestock Marketing summed up: "It was the best sale ever held in Rockhampton & yet buyers are still getting outstanding value for their money. The very positive response to this year's catalogue & our record prize-money Race Series gives us plenty of incentive to keep taking the event to higher levels."
