Little Irish Nut Euthanased At Calumet

And 17-year-old stakes-winning graded stakes-producer Little Irish Nut (Irish Tower-Such A Nut, by Naskra) was euthanased at Kentucky's Calumet Farm "after delivering a premature Medaglia d'Oro filly (who also died)" reported bloodhorse.com. Little Irish Nut won 9 of 72 race (including the 1991 Cimarron Stakes). She subsequently produced 5 named foals (4 winners, including stakes-winner Sister Star who won the G3 Regret Stakes at Churchill Downs).
