Sinister Minister (ridden by Garrett Gomez for trainer Bob Baffert) defeated Storm Treasure (Storm Boot-Boogie Beach Blues, by Cure The Blues) with a further 4.5-lengths back to 3rd-placed Strong Contender (Maria's Mon-Kopenhagen, by Dynaformer). Kentucky-bred Sinister Mninister now has 2 wins from 5 starts for US$503,880 earnings. Kentucky Derby betting now sees Brother derek at 11-4, ahead of Sinister Minister 7-2, Barbaro 6-1 & Lawyer Ron 7-1, while Bluegrass Cat & First Samurai have blown to 25-1 after finishing unplaced behind Sinister Minister in the Blue Grass Stakes.
