Al Samer Retired To Emirates Park Victoria
His Excellency Nasser Lootah's stakes-winning 3YO colt Al Samer (Redoute's Choice-My Lady's Key, by Key To The Mint) has been retired to the Victorian branch of the 2-state Emirates Park breeding operation following his injury-affected 3rd-placing in Monday's Gr3 South Pacific Classic (1400m) at Randwick in Sydney. At his previous start on April 1, Al Samer (a $290,000 yearling at the 2004 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast) returned after more than a year away from the track to lead all-the-way & win in the Listed Darby Munro Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill. Overall he retires with 2 wins (also including last year's Gr3 Black Opal Stakes over 1200m in Canberra) & 4 placings in 7 starts for $277,250 earnings. He will stand at Emirates Park for $11,000 alongside El Moxie (Conquistador Cielo-Raise The Standard, by Hoist The Flag).
