Darley Buys Vic Stud

Monday, 24th April 2006

Darley has acquired Northwood Park (on the Goulburn River at Seymour in Victoria) & will stand 5 stallions there in 2006: Reset ($33,000), Dubai Destination ($22,000), Street Cry ($16,500), 1st-season sire Consolidator ($13,750) & Country Reel ($7,700). Darley's Australian general manager Oliver Tait commented: "Victoria is home to a great many successful & influential breeders, many of whom have given our stallions tremendous support in previous years. We will be standing 19 stallions in Australia this year & believe the stallion roster for Victoria demonstrates our serious commitment to the Victorian industry, as well as allowing us to fully participate in this vibrant racing & breeding scene. We, as always, will offer the best terms in the business because we want mare owners to get the most out of breeding to a Darley stallion."
