Inglis Mares Day-1: $500,000 Lady Larissa
Bloodstock agent Steve Brem paid top price of $500,000 for 4YO mare Lady Larissa (Belong To Me-Lady Capel, by Last Tycoon) during yesterday's opening session at the 3-day Inglis Easter Select Weanling & Broodmare Sale at Newmarket in Sydney. Lady Larissa (consigned by Scone-based Craig Anderson's Broadwater Farm as agent) is a winner over 1130m; she was served by General Nediym in her 1st season at stud & is believed to be in foal. Her 4-time-winner & stakes-placed dam Lady Capel has had 3 foals race (all winners) also including: 7-time-winner & $310,650-earner Lord Of The Land (including last month's Listed Young Members' Aspiration Quality & the Listed Christmas Cup in December); & this season's 3-time-winning 2YO colt Casino Prince (whose victories include last month's Gr3 Skyline Stakes & who started favourite for the recent Gr1 Golden Slipper).
