Redoute's Fee Up 25% To $275k

Wednesday, 26th April 2006

Boom Arrowfield Stud sire Redoute's Choice (Danehill-Shantha's Choice, by Canny Lad) will stand for $275,000 during the 2006 breeding season: a new record fee for an Australian stallion & 25% increase on his 2005 $220,000 fee. Redoute's Choice is currently leading the 2005-06 Australian General Sires table & seems certain to win his 1st title with just 3 crops on the track. In the sales ring, he produced 6 of the 14 yearlings to sell for $1 million or more during last week's Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney (including the $3 million sale-topper); the previous year he produced 6 yearlings to sell for $1 million or more (including the $2.5 million sale-topper). Overall during last week's Inglis Easter sale, 35 Redoute's Choice lots averaged $710,857 (off a $33,000 service fee); & over all sales in 2006, he has had 70 yearlings sell for over $28 million at an average of nearly $402,000.
