US Gr2 Winner Andujar Retired To Stud

And US Gr2-winning 5YO mare Andujar (Quiet American-Nureyev's Best, by Nureyev) "has been retired from racing to become a broodmare," reported bloodhorse.com. Andujar notched 3 wins from 11 starts (including the Gr2 Milady Breeders' Cup Handicap plus placings in both the Gr1 Vanity Invitational Handicap & Gr1 Go For Wand Handicap). Kentucky-bred Andujar "injured a tendon in the Go For Wand at Saratoga & was taken out of training": in her 1st work-out following the mishap, "she suffered an injury to the same tendon but in a different area & was retired".
