Palmaday Celebrates Gr1 Pretty Polly

Tuesday, 4th July 2006

And still in Queensland, Palmaday Stud had as much reason as anyone to celebrate the weekend victory of Alexander Goldrun (Gold Away-Renashaan, by Darshaan) in the Gr1 Pretty Polly Stakes at Ireland's The Curragh. The Jim Buchanan-managed property is standing undefeated 2YO stakes winner Medecis for the 2nd year. The Group-winning 3YO, rated France's top miler, was runner-up in both the Gr1 French 2000 Guineas & the Gr1 Prix de la Foret (1400m), and has a US Graded stakes placing to his credit as well. Medecis is by high profile Mr Prospector sire-son Machiavellian, and stands for $7,000 alongside Minardi ($8,800), King Of Happiness ($5,000) & Significant Hill ($4,000).
