Irish Stud Huma Park For Sale

Tuesday, 11th July 2006

County Kildare-based Huma Park Stud "which has become one of Ireland's most progressive stallion farms since being set up in 2002, is to be offered for sale later this year," reported racenews.co.uk. The stud's owners Hubie de Burgh & Marc de Chambure "currently stand the outstanding Gr1 winners Rakti (shuttling this season to Victoria's Chatswood Stud) & Elusive City (shuttling this season to NZ's Haunui Farm) but the difficulty in acquiring new stallion prospects has been a factor in their decision to put Huma Park Stud on the market". The stud "has been developed into a state-of-the-art facility since its establishment 4 years ago & now boasts 254 acres, 100 boxes & a capacity for at least 4 stallions". No decision has been taken on where Rakti (Polish Precedent-Ragera, by Rainbow Quest) & Elusive City (Elusive Quality-Star Of Paris, by Dayjur) will stand after the stud's September sale.
