US Sire Honour And Glory Sold To Argentine Stud
In Kentucky, Argentina's La Mission Stallion Station "has purchased 13-year-old Gr1-winning stallion Honour And Glory (Relaunch-Fair To All, by Al Nasr) privately from Ashford Stud & leased him to John Greely's Wintergreen Stallion Station" (where he will stand Northern Hemisphere seasons until 2010) reported thoroughbredtimes.com. A former Coolmore shuttler to Australia, Honour And Glory (who stood for US$12,500 at Ashford in 2006) will continue to shuttle to La Mission for Southern Hemisphere duty (where he arrived on Monday for the 2006 season). To date Honour And Glory has sired 457 winners (including 2000 champion 2YO filly Caressing & 27 other stakes-winners) from 678 starters for US$28,851,992 earnings. On the track Kentucky-bred Honour And Glory won 6 of 17 starts (including the 1996 Gr1 Metropolitan Handicap & 3 Gr2 races) for US$1,202,942 earnings.
