Kentucky Yearlings Day-1: US$195k Sky Mesa Colt
Dogwood Stable president Cot Campbell paid US$195,000 for a colt from Sky Mesa's 1st crop (out of Gr3-winning Repriced mare Capital Request) reported thoroughbredtimes.com. The colt (consigned by Bluewater Sales as agent) was previously purchased for US$110,000 by Herman Wilensky at the 2005 Keeneland November breeding stock sale. Campbell commented: "I like the sire & thought he had some black-type on the bottom side that could do well for him."
