Falkirk Fee Set at NZ8,000+GST

Monday, 24th July 2006

Windsor Park Stud announced 5YO sprinting entire Falkirk (Tale Of The Cat-Madam Valeta, by Palace Music) will stand for NZ$8,000+GST in his 1st season at stud. Windsor Park general manager Steve Till commented: "We felt it was important, because of the close timing of his retirement from racing to the stud season, to set his fee at a level which will make him accessible to all breeders. I believe we have set a price which makes him very competitive for a stallion with all his attributes." Falkirk (passed-in for NZ$97,500 at the 2002 NZB Premier Sale at Karaka) recorded 8 wins & 4 runner-ups from 22 starts for $642,806 prize-money; his highlights included victories in the 2004 Gr2 QTC Cup (1200m) at Eagle Farm, 2004 Gr2 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill, 2004 NZ Gr3 Sunline Stakes (1200m) at Te Rapa, 2005 Gr3 Gilgai Stakes (1200m) at Flemington & 2006 Listed Bob Hoysted Stakes (1100m) at Flemington.
