Ticker Tape (Royal Applause-Argent Du Bois, by Silver Hawk) "underwent surgery to have 2 screws inserted in a cannon bone" following her 7th placing in the Gr1 Gamely Breeders' Cup Stakes at Hollywood Park on May 29. She is "expected to arrive in early August at Forging Oaks Farm in Kentucky"; among the stallions being considered for her breeding are Empire Maker & Giant's Causeway. UK-bred Ticker Tape retires with 8 wins & 14 placings from 31 starts for US$1,452,396 earnings; her major victories came in the Gr1 American Oaks Invitational at Hollywood Park, Gr1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes at Keeneland & Gr3 Pucker Up Stakes at Arlington Park (plus placings in the Gr1 Del Mar Oaks, Gr1 Matriarch Stakes & Gr2 San Gorgonio Handicap).
