US Sire Good And Tough Moves To Louisiana

In the US, New York-based 11-year-old sire Good And Tough (Carson City-Amy Be Good, by Northern Raja) "has been purchased by a partnership that will stand him in 2007 at Elite Thoroughbreds in Louisiana," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Good And Tough (who stood the previous 5 seasons at Lakland North in New York) has sired 92 starters (72 winners & 6 stakes-winners) from 186 foals in 4 crops of racing age; his starts include Gr3 winner Maddalena & US$291,993-earner Pisgah. On the track, Good And Tough won 9 of 23 starts (3 graded stakes victories, including the 1999 Gr2 Commonwealth Breeders' Cup Stakes at Keeneland, plus runner-up in the 1999 Gr1 Frank De Francis Memorial Dash Stakes at Laurel Park) & earned US$809,34.
