King's Best Adds UK Gr2

Former Darley shuttler King's Best (Kingmambo-Allegretta, by Lombard) added a UK group success when 3YO colt Best Alibi (King's Best-Chauncy Lane, by Sadler's Wells) defeated the older horses for a 2-lengths victory in the £100,000 (A$240,000) Gr2 York Stakes (10 furlongs) at York. Best Alibi (ridden by R.Moore for trainer Sir Michael Stoute) defeated Hattan (Halling-Luana, by Shaadi) & Crocodile Dundee (Croco Rouge-Miss Salsa Dancer, by Salse). At his previous start Best Alibi finished 3rd in the Gr1 Irish Derby (12 furlongs) at The Curragh on July 2.
