Postponed Book Full At Stoney Bridge

Monday, 31st July 2006

Stoney Bridge resident sire Postponed (Summer Squall-Bridal Tea, by Gulch) "has had his book of mares closed for the 2006 breeding season, after the cut-off point of 130 mares was reached last week," reported NZ Thoroughbred Marketing. Postponed begun stud duties at Fayette Park in 2002 before moving to Stoney Bridge last season. On the track he already boasts 2 NZ black-type winners from only 8 runners in his 1st crop: Gr2 Matamata Breeders Stakes winner Naturo (Postponed-Rubiton's Best, by Rubiton) & Listed Champagne Stakes winner Post Thyme (Postponed-Cardamom, by Volksraad). He also has another NZ winnner Ifionlyhadtime (Postponed-Red Letter Day, by Manntari), plus 2 individual winners from just 3 starters in Australia. Mares booked to visit Postponed in 2006 include:

  • Tough Call: Listed winner & dam of Gr3-placed Midnight Call
  • Just Sayonara: Listed winner & dam of promising Ex Ex Al
  • Peggy O'Reilly: half-sister to Gr2 winner Kerry O'Reilly
  • Danceinthesun: Gr3 winner
  • Red Letter Day: dam of IfIonlyhadtime
  • Girls Talk: dam Gr2-placed Fancyfree
  • Rustling Lass: dam of Hamilton Road
  • Love Me Do: half-sister to dual Gr1 winner A Little Kiss
