Thursday, 1st March 2007

Victoria's Nagambie-based Swettenham Stud's dual Gr1-winning sire Dash For Cash (Secret Savings-Gulistan, by Rubiton) continued his 1st-season success when juvenile daughter Extension Of Time (Dash For Cash-Nina Haraka, by Fraar) scored a 1.25-lengths victory over her male rivals in yesterday's $100,000 Magic Millions Classic (1200m) for 2YOs in Launceston. Favourite Extension Of Time (ridden by John Didham for trainer David Hayes) defeated fellow filly Gelignite Speed (Partners Choice-Variance, by Exit Five B) & the colt Robevale (Hemingway-Apron, by Grand Lodge). Extension Of Time (a $150,000 yearling at the 2006 Magic Millions January Gold Coast Sale) now has 2 wins & 2 placings (including a last start runner-up in the Listed Gold Sovereign Stakes over 1200m in Launceston on February 18) from 4 starts for $105,925 earnings; she is the 2nd foal from Gr3 Adelaide Guineas winner Nina Haraka (who also recorded 4 Gr1-placings & earned in excess of $400,000). To date Dash For Cash boasts 4 individual winners (2 stakes-performers) from 10 runners.
