Magic Millions Appoints Iran Rep
In what thoroughbredinternet.com calls "a pioneering move", Magic Millions "has appointed thoroughbred racing enthusiast Hamid Nikoumanesh as its Iranian representative". Managing director David Chester said Nikoumanesh (who has already purchased about 20 horses) believed Iran's racing industry would undergo sharp growth in the immediate future, noting: "Dubai is obviously very strong, but its horses are almost exclusively sourced from the Northern Hemisphere. However we are hoping to establish links with Iran & have a presence as racing there grows." Chester added Nikoumanesh was "enthusiastic about the idea of a Magic Millions-run auction in Iran in July" & he was "also bringing potential purchasers from Iran to the Magic Millions Gold Coast sales in March & June". Magic Millions also has consulting agents in NZ (Steve Davis), South Africa (Andy Williams), Korea (Yoo Jae-Hyung) & the US (David Bernsen).
