2007 Asian Mile Challenge Begins At Caulfield

Meanwhile tomorrow's Caulfield meeting also features the opening leg of the 2007 Asian Mile Challenge: the $700,000 Gr1 Futurity Stakes (1600m). The world's best middle-distance horses "will pursue the largest collective prize-money ever offered in horse racing" in the 2007 Asian Mile Challenge, with the 4 Gr1 races (in Australia, Dubai, Hong Kong & Japan) offering US$12.5m in prize-money & bonuses. The other 3 legs are:

  • Gr1 Dubai Duty Free (Nad Al Sheba on March 31)
  • Gr1 HK Champions Mile (Sha Tin on April 29)
  • Gr1 Japan Yasuda Kinen (Tokyo on June 3)
