Danebar Wins Carlton Draught Stakes

Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) added a group success when 7YO gelding Danebar (Danehill Dancer-Miamber, by Red Anchor) snatched victory by a nose in the $125,000 Gr3 Carlton Draught Stakes (2600m) at Morphettville in Adelaide. Danebar (ridden by Dominic Tourneur for trainer Terry Robinson) defeated 4YO mare Lacey Underall (Desert Sun-Flirty Ferdy, by Ferdinand) & 5YO mare Miss Theron (Pins-Queen Of Angels, by Imperial Seal). Danebar (a $37,500 yearling at the 2001 Inglis Scone Sale) now has 7 wins & 25 placings (including this race last year & 2006's Listed Winter Cup over 2400m) from 79 starts for $264,600 earnings.
